Obama’s appearance of something new for the world

A quote:

“The time has come for the world to move in a new direction,” Obama said in his first address to the U.N. General Assembly. “Our work must begin now.”

…”In an era where our destiny is shared, power is no longer a zero-sum game,” Obama said. “No world order that elevates one nation or group of people over another will succeed. That is the future America wants.”

There’s nothing new about Marxism/socialism.

The fact is, one group in one part of the world elevating their good ideas over another group’s bad ideas  in another part of the world is a good thing for the world. Taking it further, if one group is acting on their bad ideas to the extent that it’s adversely affecting other groups in the world, it’s good when other groups are elevated over such a group. The success of bad ideas in the world is bad for the world.

But flaming-liberals can’t seem to think in such simplistic generalizations: good ideas versus bad ideas. Even as the former Soviet Union was coming down, a result which was greatly influenced by Ronald Reagan, flaming-liberals were touting their diversi-think, saying, “If that’s what they want in that part of the world, who are we to condemn them?”

Never mind that flaming-liberals are completely happy when “they”  are dominated by  a dominant, oppressive minority or majority. As long as there’s no conflict with “them”, as long as there’s peace with “them”, that’s success to a flaming-liberal. As far as long-term peace, a flaming-liberal doesn’t attempt to look that far into the future, and the same could be said for people of many other types of moral/political persuasions.
