Journalists and cosmologists use words like “theory”, “could”, etc. to speak of something as fact, though they would deny they’re saying it’s fact other than if someone challenges it, which they would argue that it’s fact though it’s not.

In Modern Cosmology: Science or Folktale? by American Scientist, we find that another person also has some doubts about cosmology, although the author stillĀ gives token homageĀ to cosmology; he’s not that courageous:
